Choose from horse back riding, snorkeling, surfing or a guided walk through protected rainforest. Or choose from organized arts activities, hike to a waterfall, take a boat ride to Cano island or relax in a hammock, read, write, draw, or bird watch while your children play in the sand with new friends! Each meal is prepared with love and care and each evening join us for a restorative yoga practice or enchanting story telling.

Mythical Mayan Yoga Retreat,
a Family Vacation in Tulum, Mexico

We are very excited to take World Family Yoga to the lovely Yucatan peninsula in Tulum, Mexico, land of the ancient Mayan ruins, history and culture. Join us for this week of yoga, tropical beaches and mythological exploration. Adults will meet twice daily for joyful and inspiring Anusara yoga with Peggy Profant, while the children will be enchanted with an educational bilingual yoga and storytelling program with Christine McArdle-Oquendo. You will have many opportunities to swim and snorkle in the tropical waters. We will include a tour to the ruins of Tulum and an option to also take a day trip out to Chichen Itza. Other activities available include horseback riding, scuba diving, snorkleing, beach combing and oceanic boat explorations. The Shambala Petit hotel is a charming small cluster of 10 simple cabinas right on the beach, perfect for a group our size. They have a beautiful yoga room for our practice and chefs that will delight your tastebuds with the delicious fresh local Mexican cuisine.

Price will include local transportation from the Cancun Airport, tour of Mayan ruins, all gourmet meals, lodging and full yoga and children’s program.

World Family Yoga travels to the Sacred Valley, Peru, for an unforgettable family vacation. Mark your calendar for Summer, 2009! Exact dates and prices soon to be posted.

Join us on this very special family vacation to
the Andes mountains in Peru. Throughout our 10 days together, we will visit Incan ruins including Machu Picchu, Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Saksaywaman. We will learn about Andean cosmology, join in sacred, traditional offering ceremonies with Andean healers, enjoy colorful Andean artisan markets and more, all with new friends of like mind and heart.  An Anusara yoga practice will be offered almost daily to both parents and children. Peggy will lead our parents in a well balanced, heart felt practice while Christine leads our children, deepening or introducing them to the richness of the world of yoga. Christine and her Peruvian husband Abelardo have been leading retreats to the Sacred Valley for several years, and it is clearly one of their favorite places on earth. It has always been a dream of Christine’s to share their adventures with other families as they have for years watched their children happily and freely exploring the ruins, playing with Andean children, immersed in this wise culture.
